Temperature sensor can be added to any of our AutoGen controllers or DC AutoGen generators.

You can view the temperature within the app from any location. Furthermore, low and high temp settings can be altered within the app to either trigger notifications or to start and stop your generator.

The sensor reads with an accuracy of ±0.5°C from -10°C to +85°C and ±2°C accuracy from -55°C to +125°C.

This is a pre-wired and waterproofed (with heat shrink) temperature sensor. Handy for when you need to measure something far away, or in wet conditions. While the sensor is good up to 125°C the cable is jacketed in PVC so we suggest keeping it under 100°C. Because they are digital, you don’t get any signal degradation even over long distances! These 1-wire digital temperature sensors are fairly precise (±0.5°C over much of the range) and can give up to 12 bits of precision from the onboard digital-to-analog converter.

The V2 AutoGen controller is compatible with any electric start generator.  A microprocessor controls the automatic start and stop sequence, furthermore making it the smartest auto start generator controller on the market. The controller connects through wifi and with our AutoGen app for iOS and Android you have some of the following key features:

1. Monitor battery volts
2. Charging amps
3. Generator running status
4. Manual start and stop from any location
5. Error notifications sent through email
6. Select daily start and stop timers
7. Select daily quiet timers
8. Read temperature with programmable temp settings
9. History graph and option to export a csv file

When the V2 AutoGen controller senses a low battery bank level or loss of grid power, it will start your generator. It attempts to start 3 times. If your generator is unable to start due to mechanical failure, it enters an error state and a notification email is sent to correct the malfunction.
The V2 AutoGen controller constantly monitors battery bank voltage and will start your generator automatically to charge your batteries. When batteries have reached 100% SOC, or grid power is back online, the generator is shut down.

If your generator has a manual choke lever, it is essential to add the Choke Servo to your order. Servo bracket will greatly assist in the installation.

Now with all of our V3 controllers we have the added functionality of creating a Mesh network.

Mesh creates a local communication network. As a result, device to device networking brings connectivity to hard to reach places. Now the V3 AutoGen GSM automatic start generator controller can send or receive data or sensor readings from an AutoGen “buddy” controller, through wireless communication. That’s right, wireless communication! With the standard fitted antenna, controllers can create a local connected network with an effective range of 50 meters. With added long range antennas this communication can reach as far as 1 mile away.

Here are a few brief examples:

1. Read water level sensor from a hard to reach location by adding a “buddy” controller. This therefore sends a signal to V3 to start your generator.
2. Sense low temperature readings from a “buddy” controller, then start your generator.
3. Control relays on “buddy” controller from within the app.
4. Receive notifications from “buddy” controller readings.

More than 1 “buddy” controller can be used. That’s right. Up to 100 devices can be setup in a Mesh network. The chart below shows Endpoints, Repeaters and Gateways.
